Meet us: Kathleen “Mom” and Mitch Winstead. Allstar Senior Benefits is a Licensed Insurance Brokerage. Our Regional office is located in Wilmington, NC but we are licensed Nationwide. My Mom got her start in Real Estate. She transitioned into the Insurance profession after that and has been selling Medicare Supplements and Life Insurance since the 1980’s. I am fortunate to have her as my mentor. I took a little different route to get to where I am today. After high school, I served our country in the U. S. Army for 3 years as a Miltary Policeman. I was stationed at Ft. Lee Va. and The Republic of Honduras. After that, I attended college and became licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant. That lead to me becoming the co-owner of Physical Therapy for Life which taught me more about how Medicare works from a billing and coding standpoint. I use my medical background and my pharmaceutical knowledge to place our clients in the best most cost-effective solution especially if they are on a fixed income. We also specialize in Final expense life insurance and Cancer policies. There are not a lot of agents/ brokers who have as much experience and knowledge as our company.
