PLAN B

Plan B covers the following Medicare benefits, Part A coinsurance and hospital costs up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are used up, Part B coinsurance (an amount you may be required to pay as your share of the cost for services after you pay any deductibles. However, it does not cover Skilled nursing facility care coinsurance, Part B deductible (the amount you must pay for health care or prescriptions before Original Medicare, your prescription drug plan, or your other insurance begin to pay), Part B excess charge(if you have Original Medicare and the amount a doctor or other health care provider is legally permitted to change is higher than the Medicare-approved amount, the difference is called excess charge), Foreign travel exchange (up to plan limits). However, Plan F offers a high-deductible plan. If you choose this option, this means you must pay for Medicare-covered costs up to the deductible amount of $2,200 in 2017 before your Medigap plan pays anything.

After you meet your out-of-pocket yearly limit and your yearly Part B deductible, the Medigap plan pays 100% of covered services for the rest of the calendar year.

PLAN K

Plan K Medicare supplement plan covers Part A coinsurance and hospital costs up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are used up. Also, it only covers 50% percent benefit of Part B coinsurance (an amount you may be required to pay as your share of the cost for services after you pay any deductibles. Coinsurance is usually a percentage, for example, 20%)  or copayment, 50% percent of Blood (first 3 pints of blood), 50% percent of Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayment, 50% percent of  Skilled nursing facility care coinsurance, and 50 percent of Part A deductible (a deductible is the amount you pay for health care or prescriptions before Original Medicare, your prescription drug plan, or your other insurance begins to pay). Nonetheless, it does not cover Part B deductible, Part B excess charge (if you have Original Medicare and the amount a doctor or other health care provider is legally permitted to change is higher than the Medicare-approved amount, the difference is called excess charge) and foreign travel exchange (up to plan limits). Plan K will cover $5,120 Out-of-pocket limit Medicare benefit to individuals.

PLAN L

Plan L Medicare supplement plan covers Part A coinsurance and hospital costs up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are used up. Also, it only covers 75 percent benefit of Part B coinsurance (an amount you may be required to pay as your share of the cost for services after you pay any deductibles. Coinsurance is usually a percentage, for example, 20%) or copayment, 75 percent of Blood (first 3 pints of Blood), 75 percent of Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayment, 75 percent of Skilled nursing facility care coinsurance, and 75 percent of Part A deductible (a deductible is the amount you pay for health care or prescriptions before Original Medicare, your prescription drug plan, or your other insurance begins to pay). Nonetheless, it does not cover Part B deductible, Part B excess charge (if you have Original Medicare and the amount a doctor or other health care provider is legally permitted to change is higher than the Medicare-approved amount, the difference is called excess charge) and foreign travel exchange (up to plan limits). Plan L will only cover $2,560 of Out-of-pocket limit Medicare supplement benefit.

PLAN M

Plan M only covers 80 percent foreign travel exchange (up to plan limits). Out-of-pocket limit Medicare supplement benefit is not applicable in PLAN M.

Plan N only covers 80 percent foreign travel exchange (up to plan limits). Out-of-pocket limit Medicare supplement benefit is not applicable in PLAN N.

Plan N pays 100% of the Part B coinsurance, except for a copayment of up to $20 for some office visits and up to a $50 copayment for emergency room visits that don’t result in an inpatient admission.
